What we heard

The brief

We need someone reliable who can hit the ground running without six months of handholding.

Discovery call · 8 May 2026

What this means in practice

  • You need someone who can manage a high-volume inbox and keep the calendar from falling apart.
  • Speed matters. You want placement within 4 to 6 weeks, not 3 months of pipeline.
  • Cost is a factor. You want a quality hire at a fraction of the local market rate.

Endpoints, network, and access · locked down end-to-end

Locked down by design. From their workstation to your systems.

Every Umbrella Talent placement works remotely from home, on a company-issued, fully managed workstation, connected to your business through the Loop Network: a private, encrypted, audited layer between the team member and your systems. The endpoint and the network stack are tighter than a typical onshore office hire's setup, with the same accountability you'd expect from a direct employee.

Stage 1

Your team member

  • Works remotely from home, in Australian business hours
  • Company-issued workstation, fully managed by us · no BYOD
  • Full-disk encryption, MDM-enrolled, monitored for tamper

Stage 3

Your business systems

  • Your CRM, email, cloud apps — whatever your stack is
  • Access scoped to role permissions you control
  • Revocable instantly from a single admin console

Visibility you don't get with an office hire

You'll know more about your Loop placement than the staff already sitting in your office.

Most managers have no real picture of what their in-office team does between 9 and 5. They see bums on seats and assume. With a Loop placement, you don't have to assume — you have data.

A typical office hire

“I think they're working on the proposal...”

  • Visible at their desk — that's it
  • Self-reported timesheets
  • Quarterly performance reviews
  • No granular activity record
  • You find out about under-performance reactively

A Loop placement

“I can see exactly what they're working on, right now.”

  • Active vs idle time tracked, broken down by application
  • Application and URL activity log, end-of-day
  • Daily productivity summary delivered to your inbox
  • Weekly performance report with flagged anomalies
  • 12-month full audit trail · your access, any time

Common questions

The objections everyone raises.

Working remotely from another country sounds risky on paper. In practice the controls are tighter than most onshore setups. Here's what we get asked, and what the answer is.

Working from home sounds risky — what stops them slacking off?

You'll see exactly what they do all day. Active vs idle time, application use, URL activity — all tracked and delivered to you in a daily summary. It's more visibility than you have over the team sitting in your own office. We also run weekly 1:1 check-ins with every placement, and if performance drifts we flag it before you have to ask.

How is data secure if they're working from a home connection?

Every Loop placement works on a company-issued workstation we manage end-to-end — full-disk encrypted, MDM-enrolled, USB blocked, screen capture restricted, no local file storage. All traffic to your systems runs through an always-on encrypted VPN tunnel. The Loop network, not their home Wi-Fi, is what touches your business.

Your data ends up more locked down than it would be on a typical office employee's laptop.

What if their internet drops out?

Every placement is provisioned with a mobile data failover on a separate carrier. If their fixed connection drops, the workstation automatically routes through 4G/5G — usually inside 30 seconds, without breaking the VPN session. We monitor connection health and ping you proactively if anything looks unstable.

Can they actually work Australian business hours from where they're based?

Yes — every Loop placement works AEST hours as standard, regardless of which country they're based in. We source talent from the Philippines, South Africa and Fiji, and recruit specifically for people who can sustain Australian business hours long-term.

Time-zone reality: Philippines is two hours behind Brisbane, Fiji is two hours ahead, and South Africa works an earlier shift with built-in premium pay for the pattern. We screen for AEST availability first and sustainability second — so no graveyard surprises, no burnout turnover.

How do they integrate with my existing team?

They join your stack like any other employee. Slack or Teams, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, your project management tool, your CRM. They attend daily standups by video, jump on internal calls, and behave like a team member — because they are. The only difference is the physical location.

What stops them from copying or stealing my data?

USB ports blocked. Clipboard transfers between your apps and personal apps blocked. Screen capture restricted. Print logged or blocked depending on your settings. No local file downloads. Full activity audit on every login. And every placement signs an NDA + IP assignment under our master services agreement before day one.

The physical exfiltration paths a typical office hire has access to — USB drives, printers, photos of screens — simply aren't available here.

What if they don't work out or leave early?

Six-month replacement guarantee. If they resign or you terminate for cause within the first six months, we source and place a replacement at no additional recruitment cost. Replacement sourcing starts within 48 hours of notification. You carry zero recruitment risk for the first half year. (Full guarantee details are in the next section.)

Risk reversal

Six-month replacement guarantee.

If your placement doesn't work out in the first six months, we source and place a replacement at no additional cost. You carry zero recruitment risk.

6 Months Guaranteed

What's covered

You hire through us. We carry the risk that the hire works out. For the first six months from the placement start date, if anything goes wrong on the people side, we make it right.

  • If they resign within 6 months — we source and place a replacement at no additional recruitment fee.
  • If you terminate for cause within 6 months — same. We source and place a replacement at no additional recruitment fee.
  • Replacement sourcing starts within 48 hours of written notification. First shortlist in 14 days.
